I've always been a huge Billy Joel fan - way back since Glass Houses. My first favorite song of his was Sometimes a Fantasy. I went on to have many special memories associated with his songs. I've seen him live a few times and would do it again. A little trip down memory lane.....when I was student teaching the kids knew I liked Billy Joel, Storm Front was out then. On my last day, as a gift, one little girl made me a taped copy of the album. Although I already had it, that particular copy was very special. She's about 26 years old now, LOL.
OK the point of this post was to say we had a really good time last night at Movin' Out. I'm not a fan of cover music but the pianist and vocalist was unbelievable. I was quite impressed. I didn't realize the story was told all through dance but it was an amazing show. I was so impressed with the fact that there is barely a set, yet the music tells the whole story. If you ever get the chance to check it out it is well worth it.
On another topic, I'm trying to get better about taking pictures of "life" not occasions. Tonight I had to put on a Billy Joel CD, the mood just struck me, LOL. Dan and I were dancing to Just the Way You Are so i asked Julia to take a picture of us. the picture was spur of the moment so it isn't the greatest but I think I'm going to print it in black and white and scrap it, I may even go out on a limb and do just a one page layout. How's that for living on the edge????
