New ideas!!

Today I had a chance to stamp. I used a lot of the same colors since they were left over from a workshop last weekend. I tend to get stuck in colors I like. I need to get better about stretching myself. Here is a card I made for a swap with Erin. The words need to be the focal point of the card. The sketch came from Lauren Meader's Saturday Sketch a few weeks ago. I knew then I wanted to try it.

This card uses the Celebrate Everything stamp set. Paper: Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Tempting Turquoise DSP and Taken with Teal. I used the Scallop punch, two circle punches, the three for you punch and the ticket corner punch. I also used pearls from the Pretties kit.

The next card I did was with my new set Blooming with Love.

Stamp Set: Blooming with Love. Cardstock: Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava(had t o have that), Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst DSP. I colored in with markers and for the groovy guava I used a blender pen and reinker. Worked like a charm. The flower and bling are from the pretties kit. I colored it with the blender pen marker I made. So easy.

I also made a card using one of the wheels from Stampin' Up's special this month. I used part of a sketch I found on Erin's blog. I love the ideas I've found from blogging. Such great places to jump start ideas. Stamps: Jumbo Wheel - It's beautiful. I love this wheel. I restamped and cut out the focal flower. I used wide ribbon and a flower from the Pretties kit. Cardstock: Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and Regal Rose.

I'm off roller skating tomorrow. Come back on Monday night for some pictures of that. Should be fun. I pulled out my roller skates from the 80's and they still fit. Julia has some hand me downs so we both rolled around the downstairs for a few minutes after dinner. i may just have it after all. :-)
